Jace Peters had a full year in 2019-2020, even without a track season. The cross country runner and skier placed 2nd in the Colorado Skimeister competition (combined alpine and nordic performances) behind teammate Matt Cairns. I witnessed both of these guys, as well as the entire LCHS team, train hard in the weightroom, on the trails, and down the slopes from October through February. We were lucky enough to get an inside scoop on what life is like balancing multiple passions and maintaining high standards on and off the course.
Like our guest from last week, Kendall Kramer, Jace believes a multi-sport approach is the most enjoyable way to do athletics. He is mature beyond his years, and his desire to face new challenges and his enjoyment in steady improvement is going to set him up for a lifetime of true success in sports. He lives out our motto here at the Seder-Skier blog: Search for Truth. Play with a Purpose. Strive for True Success.
We can’t wait to watch what he’ll do in the years to come!
