Snowfall from the last two days has created a semi-rare opportunity for Leadville skiers to romp right through town.
Roads are snow-packed — and haven’t been plowed (at least as of this writing) — all the way up 7th street and into the historic mining districts. Rock skis are still recommended, but the coverage is pretty decent.
Those in control of Mineral Belt grooming should perhaps consider packing this powder tonight. More snow is on the way, and if that gets packed down, too, I’d imagine regular grooming shouldn’t be too far away.
