Snow has fallen in Leadville. Time to fire up the PodTrak P4 and publish a few Seder-Skier Podcast episodes!
Here is what we have on tap:
Oct. 28 (that’s today…..) – The Seder-Skier Podcast
- We’re breaking down Russia, Russia, Russia
- Plus, Diggins done? Future Minneapolis World Cup? …and other incredibly massive news stories broken on random podcasts….
- Other international ski news going into the Olympic year
- ***Note: I reserve the right to cancel this broadcast if I have to attend to other matters (cooking meals, going on a run or taking care of my kids in the afternoon….GripWax Nation, you know the drill).
Oct. 29 – Haley Swirbul hops on!
- The El Jebel native is making a comeback this winter —- can’t wait to get the inside scoop in our upcoming call!
Nov. 1 – Minneapolis Ski Club coach Erin Moening joins!
- Given her experience as a star high school and NCAA athlete as well as a coach at the club, college, Super Tour and World Cup level, I was super excited to get Erin on the podcast for a long interview yesterday. We recapped her recent fall coaching clinic, talked about her efforts to grow the sport through the Minneapolis Ski Club and MoeningTheTracks and dished back and forth about relevant domestic and international ski topics. Don’t miss this episode — there’s something here for young athletes, parents of skiers, new and experienced coaches and World Cup fans.
Nov. 8 – Doug Edmonson talks about his new book on Norm Oakvik and the history of Nordic skiing in Minnesota

- If you’re a history buff, stat junkie and lover of all things Nordic skiing and distance running — especially at the MN prep level — you’ll love this episode. Doug Edmonson, the 1966 co-MN state Nordic champ, joins to talk about his new book on his beloved coach, Norm Oakvik. We also talked about his time running for with Gerry Bjorklund at the U and who is on our Mount Rushmore of MN skiers and runners — and yes, his trip up Pikes Peak as a teenager. You won’t want to miss this fun conversation with a guy who is passionate about cataloging the stories of individuals who laid the foundations for skiing in the Midwest and our country as a whole.
